ION service disruption ends in Kitchener

ION train service has been restored in Kitchener – following a brief, collision-related delay on Tuesday.

It was just after 9 a.m. when Grand River Transit shared that disruption, with trains halted between Kitchener Market Station and Mill Station.

ION replacement shuttles were quickly rolled out to help riders navigate around that issue.

An update provided by Grand River Transit at 9:39 a.m. said that service disruption had been cleared, with trains expected to return to their regular schedule shortly afterward.
