Police investigating Kitchener residential break-and-enter

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

Regional police are investigating a break-in at a Kitchener home.

It happened just after midnight last Tuesday in the area of Dooley Drive.

According to police, a male suspect entered the home through a side garage door while the owners were asleep. The suspect stole property and left in a four-door sedan.

Four days later on Oct. 5 around 9:30 p.m., a second man was seen walking up the driveway of the same home.

He did not attempt to break-in. It’s unknown if the two incidents are related.

Police are asking residents to be safe and make sure all doors and windows are securely locked, even when at home.

Anyone with more information is asked to contact the Break, Enter, and Vehicle Theft Team at 519-570-9777, extension 8255.

Anonymous tips can be provided to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

WRPS provided photos of the suspect and the suspicious man.
