Theft investigation prompts heavy police presence in Kitchener
Regional police are informing the public a heavy presence in Kitchener for a theft investigation.
It’s in the area of New Dundee Road and Homer Watson Boulevard.
According to police they are searching for suspects but, there is no threat to public safety.

No road closures are in place however, drivers and pedestrians are asked to avoid it for the time being.
Earlier Tuesday afternoon Doon Public School and Conestoga College we’re placed under hold and secures, but both have been lifted.
UPDATE:
Increased police presence in the area of New Dundee Road and Homer Watson Boulevard as officers continue to search for suspects involved in a theft investigation.
There are no public safety concerns.
