Waterloo Regional Police are set to provide an update on the third anniversary of a Kitchener homicide.
Joshua Bennett was found dead near a trail in the Paulander Drive area on Sept. 24, 2021. He was 18. A post-mortem examination revealed the cause of death was multiple stab wounds.
Bennett was from Etobicoke and was in the region studying at Conestoga College.
The case has remained unsolved and police have previously said they think several people in the community have information about his murder. It’s believed Bennett was killed some time between Sept. 23 and Sept. 24 of 2021.
The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) will host a press conference on Sept. 24, 2024 to inform the media and the public about the status of their investigation.
It’s set to begin at 10 a.m. at WRPS headquarters in Cambridge.
Anyone with information on the homicide investigation should call the WRPS Major Crime Unit tip-line at 519-570-9777 ext. 8191 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
