Guelph Police searching for thief who wore a fake pregnant belly to steal over $2K of products

Police in the Royal City are searching for a woman they believe wore a skirt and a fake pregnant belly specifically designed to steal from a store in the Stone Road Mall.

According to Guelph Police, on Aug. 12 an employee at a store inside Stone Road Mall found empty shelves where products had been recently stocked.

After looking at the security camera footage, they found a woman had entered the store the day prior and stole more than $2,200 worth of cosmetics and fragrances.

The suspect is described as a white woman in her late 20’s, with brown hair, and was wearing a large grey skirt with straps over the shoulders over a black shirt.

Officers believe she was wearing a fake pregnant belly designed to hold stolen products.
