Police investigating Cambridge collision involving one of its own cruisers

A police car was involved in a collision in Cambridge over the Labour Day long weekend.

Waterloo Regional Police say it happened around 6:15, Saturday evening, at Hespeler Road and Pinebush Road.

Police have said no one was hurt in the crash between the cruiser and an SUV. It took about two hours for the on-scene investigation and clean up.

Police have not said if the cruiser was on its way to a call, or if it had its emergency lights activated.

There’s no word yet if any charges have been laid, or are expected.
