Police retrieve vehicle from Grand River; shooting investigation underway

A targeted shooting in Cambridge, has police looking for answers, and pulling a vehicle out of the Grand River.

Early Sunday morning, around 3 a.m. Waterloo Region Police were called about an injured man near The Delta, at Water Street North and Dundas Street South.

The 22-year-old was sent to hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The WRPS Robbery Team is now involved, calling the shooting a “targeted incident.”

Sunday afternoon, a vehicle, believed to be involved in the shooting, was pulled from the Grand River, just off nearby Dando Avenue.

No suspect description has been given at this time, but police are still asking anyone with information to come forward.
