Kitchener, Waterloo residents charged for trafficking, passed out in vehicle

A Kitchener and a Waterloo resident are facing charges after Woodstock Police officers found them passed out in a vehicle with the engine still running.

It happened just before 8:30 on the morning of Aug. 2, when police responded to the scene near Oxford Roads 4 and 17, just to the northeast of town.

They found a running vehicle, parked on the shoulder of the road, with two people passed out inside.

The 35-year old driver from Waterloo was immediately arrested and charged with impaired by drug. But police kept on investigating, and now say drug charges have been added to the mix.

That driver, and the passenger, a 33-year old from Kitchener, are both facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Police say they seized $4,800 worth of suspected fentanyl.
