Police investigating ‘suspicious’ fire in Kitchener that left one man in critical condition

Police have labeled a residential fire at a home in Kitchener on Friday night ‘suspicious’, and are investigating the incident.
According to Waterloo Regional Police, emergency crews responded to reports of the fire in the area of Rosemount Dr. and Dewberry Dr. around 11:10 p.m.
When they arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames.
One man was rescued from the home by the Kitchener Fire Department and taken to an out-of-region hospital with significant burns. Police added the man is in critical condition.
