Police searching for a group of suspects after Cambridge assault

An alleged assault in Hespeler in the middle of the night on Tuesday, put a victim in hospital.

Waterloo Regional Police say a call came in around 1:10 a.m., bringing officers out to a parking lot around Clemens Avenue and Sheffield Street, near a Mill Run Trail entrance in Hespeler.

Police say a 37-year old man was assaulted by a group of unknown suspects.

The victim was taken to a local hopsital with non-life-threatening injuries.

There are no suspect descriptions at this time.
