A survey on the Grand River Transit (GRT) system is live as the Region of Waterloo contemplates the next several years of growth.
The area is undergoing massive transformation as one of Canada’s fastest growing municipalities. The large expansion also comes with change, as the region looks to improve it’s transit system.
The latest survey, found here, asks riders a number of questions including how frequent they use public transportation, how far they travel and if the wait times are reasonable. It also asks for written feedback allowing the riders to directly ask GRT for what they want.
This is one of the latest ways the region is trying to get feedback so it can build a roadmap for investments from 2025 to 2030 and beyond.
The region is also holding an in-person session, with one happening this Friday at the Hespeler Village Market and another set for Saturday at the Ayr Farmer’s Market.
The guides will focus on expansion, how to make transit more accessible and when and where to prioritize frequency and speed.
