Police investigating cyclist collision in Cambridge involving 11-year-old

Regional police have said charges are pending as they continue to investigate a collision involving an 11-year-old girl in Cambridge.

Emergency crews responded on Sunday afternoon just after 1 p.m. to the area of Edward Street and Weaver Street.

According to police, the collision occurred between the young cyclist and a vehicle. The girl sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital out of the region.

The driver of the vehicle, meanwhile, sustained no physical injuries.

The traffic services unit has since appealed for any witnesses of the crash, including those with dash camera or video footage, to contact them at 519-570-9777, extension 8856.
