Truck driver charged after hit-and-run crash near Fairview Park Mall

An update to a hit-and-run crash by Fairview Park Mall, that sent a pedestrian to hospital with serious injuries.

A 39-year-old man from Grey County is facing just one charge of careless driving.

Monday morning, police say a 19-year-old woman was walking near the Kitchener mall, around Fairway and Wilson, when she was hit by a transport truck.

Despite the charges, police are still asking anyone with information on the crash to give them a call and send over any dashcam video of the area, from 11 am on Monday.
