Drugs and weapons seized after investigation at Kitchener motel

A man and a woman from Kitchener have been arrested following a drug investigation.

According to Waterloo Regional Police, officers completed a search warrant of a motel in the area of Weber Street East and Kinzie Avenue on Thursday.

Investigators found and seized suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, prescription pills and cash, as well as brass knuckles, a sword, a knife, and multiple machetes.

A 47-year-old man and 43-year-old woman from Kitchener were arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of suspected morphine, unauthorized possession of a weapon, and possession of identity documents.

They were both held in police custody for a bail hearing.
