Four Kitchener teens arrested for firing pellets at pedestrians from a moving vehicle

Four males in Kitchener have been arrested after firing a pellet gun from a moving vehicle at pedestrians.

Waterloo Regional Polie responded to calls of the incident at about 11:45 p.m. on Wednesday in the area of Courtland Avenue East and Benton Street.

A man sustained minor injuries after being shot with pellets.

Officers located the vehicle in the area of Queen Street and Joseph Street, pulled the vehicle over, arrested the four youths inside, and confiscated four pellet guns.

A 16-year-old, an 18-year-old and a 19-year-old from Kitchener, as well as an 18-year-old from Woolwich Township, were charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

They’re scheduled to appear in court in August.
