Waterloo Regional Police are investigating two fires in Cambridge this week, and have labelled them “suspicious”.
The first took place on Thursday at about 11:30 p.m. in a dumpster at a school on Sunset Boulevard. The Cambridge Fire Department quickly extinguished the blaze and no injuries were reported.
The second happened just a few hours later at approximately 3 a.m. on Friday. A large storage shed was burning at a school on Bismark Drive when emergency services arrived. The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported.
Police are investigating both incidents and have not indicated whether or not they believe they are connected.
They’re asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has camera footage that captured the incident to call police at 519-570-9777, extension 6370.
