Waterloo driver charged with impaired by OPP for second time in two years

The OPP are singling out a Waterloo driver for doubling up on his impaired driving charges.

The Highway Safety Division sent out a post on social media after 11:00, Monday night, saying the 44-year-old man was charged with impaired driving for the second time in two years.

Most recently, this driver is accused of causing a three-vehicle crash on Highway 401 at Highway 400.

Police said the charges are impaired operation; refuse breath testing; driving while suspended; and liquor violations.

The post from the OPP mentions a 90-day licence suspension, and impounding the suspect’s vehicle for seven days.

The OPP did not specify when the 401 crash happened, or when the first offence occurred.
