Flagpole flying Pride flag vandalized in Kitchener, police investigating

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a recent vandalism incident in Kitchener involving a Pride flag.

Police were called this week about property damage discovered in the Cedarwoods Crescent and Kingsway Drive area.

According to police, someone attended the victim’s home and damaged their flagpole, which was flying a Pride flag.

It’s believed the vandalism happened sometime overnight Sunday into Monday.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Waterloo Regional Police or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
