Waterloo Regional Police held their Road Safety Week campaign between May 14 and 20, focused on making the roads safer and the importance of obeying road safety rules.
As a result of the campaign, police laid over 450 charges to those breaking the law.
Over the seven days, police handed out 107 speeding charges, two seatbelt-related charges, 13 distracted driving charges, five dangerous driving charges, and 13 driving while impaired charges.
They also laid over 300 other charges, including failure to stop for a school bus.
