Racial slurs yelled during late-night altercation in Waterloo, police investigating

A late-night altercation involving the use of racial slurs in Waterloo has police investigating.

According to Waterloo Regional Police, officers responded to reports of two men fighting in the area on Menno Street and Erb Street West at about 1 a.m. on Sunday.

When they arrived, one of the men had already fled on foot. He was last seen running on the pathway from Euclid Avenue to Father David Bauer Dr.

Police say the man who ran confronted another man and woman while they were walking and shouted racial slurs at them.

The victims were not injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as white, 6’1”, with a thin build, wearing a white shirt, black shorts, and white shoes.
