Grand River MS Walk raises over $100,000 in Guelph

A walk to raise awareness and funds for the multiple sclerosis community will be held in Guelph on Sunday morning. 

The Grand River MS Walk gets underway at 10 a.m. at College Heights Secondary School with opening ceremonies being held at 11 a.m. The 5km walk will start immediately after.

So far, 350 people have signed up to walk, and have raised more than $110,000 for MS Canada.

Canada has one of the highest rates of multiple sclerosis in the world, and according to MS Canada, it’s estimated that approximately 90,000 Canadians are living with the disease.

Every day, 12 Canadians are diagnosed with MS.
