Two arrested, numerous drugs seized in Kitchener bust

Two arrests have been made in a drug-trafficking investigation in Kitchener.

According to police, they made the arrests around 6 a.m. Friday morning at a residence in the area of Joseph Street and David Street.

Using a search warrant police seized a large quantity of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis, hydromorphone pills and dilaudid pills.

In addition, police also found a large sum of cash, cell phones, stolen property and weapons that included a handgun.

A 49-year-old and 41-year-old man are facing numerous charges that include, five counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling. They are also facing a charge of possession of a credit card.

Both were held for a bail hearing.
