Guelph jewellery store robbed of merchandise, police searching for 3 suspects

Police in Guelph are investigating after a robbery at a downtown business on Thursday led to the theft of about $200,000 worth of merchandise.

According to Guelph Police, officers responded to reports of the robbery in progress just before 5 p.m.

Three men, armed with hammers, entered a jewellery store, smashed display cases, and stole merchandise. They then fled the scene in a black Honda CRV before police arrived.

Police found the suspects had left a duffle bag and a shoe behind at the scene.

Police have released descriptions of the three suspects:

  • Male, light-skinned, black puffy-like hair, above average height, a dark blue blazer, black undershirt, ripped light blue jeans, blue and white Nike shoes, and a blue medical mask.
  • Male, dark-skinned, tall, thin build, wearing a black hooded sweater, black thin material mask, blue medical gloves, black track pants with a white vertical stripe, and black shoes with white markings.
  • Male, dark-skinned, short, slim build, wearing a black hooded sweater, black cap, black thin material mask, dark pants, black shoes with white trim, and black gloves.
