A 23-year-old man from Kitchener was airlifted to an out-of-region hospital following a serious crash on Friday morning.
It was just after midnight when emergency crews were called out to the area of Courtland Avenue East and Cedar Street South for a collision between a Ford motor vehicle and that cyclist.
The 23-year-old is said to have sustained serious injuries.
The driver of the involved Ford was not injured.
Police say the intersection where the collision occurred was closed for several hours for an investigation, though it has since reopened.
Charges are expected to be laid as a result of the crash.
