A 52-year-old Kitchener man is facing multiple charges after an online child-luring incident.

According to regional police, on May 7 they were notified by the RCMP that the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force required assistance investigating an incident with a 14-year-old.

The teen was reportedly in an online chat room engaged in conversation with the 52-year-old.

After indicating their age, the man then sent a photo of his genitals and then asked the child to reply with photos of her own.

Through an investigation and the use of search warrant police identified and located the 52-year-old.

He was arrested on Tuesday and is facing charges of luring a child, making sexually explicit material available to a child and indecent communications.

He was then held by police of a bail hearing. No name has been released by police.
