Two Waterloo residents charged after 19-year-old dies of drug overdose

A 21-year-old from Kitchener and a 29-year-old from Waterloo are facing multiple charges after an overdose death in Huron County.

Ontario Provincial Police say it happened last year on September 13, bringing officers to a residence in Central Huron.

When police arrived they found a 19-year-old man unresponsive, he died at the scene.

Investigators say the victim died as a result of an opioid overdose.

The accused, identified as Sylvia Scozynski and Jordan Da-Silva Roach, are both facing multiple charges including possession and trafficking.

A court date is set for June 14 in Goderich.
