Guelph house fire sends three people to hospital with ‘serious’ injuries

Guelph’s Police Service and Fire Department are investigating a house fire from Wednesday that sent three people to hospital with serious injuries.

The fire happened at about 11:15 p.m. at an address near Hearn Ave. and Inkerman St. in Guelph.

While the fire burned, a neighbour reported seeing three people crawling out of a second-floor unit in the home onto a roof.

Two men and a woman were rescued from the roof by emergency responders and taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The three remain in serious condition at a Hamilton trauma centre.

Guelph Police and Fire Department continue to investigate.
