Assault in Waterloo believed to be hate-motivated, female suspect wanted

Waterloo Regional Police are searching for a female suspect after an assault incident in Waterloo that’s believed to be hate-motivated.

According to police, two male victims were leaving a store when they were allegedly assaulted by an unknown female who made xenophobic comments.

No one was hurt and the incident is being treated as hate-motivated.

It happened Wednesday around 2 p.m. in the King Street and Weber Street area.

The female suspect is described as being white, 5’7”, with straight blonde hair. She was wearing black leggings, a long-sleeved pink shirt, and a black leather fanny pack.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact police.
