Police search for suspicious male who approached, followed youth on Waterloo trail

Waterloo Regional Police are looking for a suspicious male they say approached and followed a girl on a trail in Waterloo.

Police said this happened back in the middle of the afternoon of April 25, on a trail in the area of Laurel Gate Drive.

That’s near Fischer-Hallman Road North, and Laurelwood Drive.

Police allege a teenager came up to a female youth, followed her, and tried to speak with her.

He left the area with no physical injuries to the youth.

Police describe him as 16- to 18-years-old, thin, with brown hair, and at the time was wearing a black jacket with a red stripe, and black shoes.

As for the length of time between the date of the incident and the information coming out from police, they only confirm to CityNews 570 that the investigation has been ongoing.
