Retro roller skating rink pop-up opens in Kitchener

Small business owners in Kitchener have transformed a retail space into a throwback roller skating rink.

Retro Rollers has opened a new Pop Up Roller Rink at 225-2 The Boardwalk, offering a nostalgic experience for beginner and experienced skaters.

The rink will be open throughout the summer, with a planned closing date of Aug. 25.

“We believe in the power of roller skating to unite communities and foster personal growth,”Elaine Beck, founder of Retro Rollers, said in a press release. “Roller skating offers a fun and exhilarating way to stay active while being gentle on the body, making it accessible to individuals of all fitness levels.”

The Pop Up Roller Rink is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for afternoon and evening skates, with a Live DJ performing in the evening.
