Woolwich man arrested in historical sexual assault investigation

Police have arrested and charged a Woolwich man after investigating a sexual assault from nearly two decades ago.

In March of this year, Waterloo Regional Police received reports of a sexual assault that took place between 2008 and 2009.

After investigating, officers arrested Steven Lehmann, a 52-year-old male from Woolwich Township and charged him with sexual assault and sexual exploitation.

Lehmann is scheduled to appear in court on April 30.

The investigation is ongoing.
