Police investigating after pedestrian in Kitchener struck by Michigan motorist

Police are investigating after a 56-year-old man was struck by a vehicle in Kitchener on Friday.

According to Waterloo Regional Police, emergency crews responded to reports of the incident at about 8:30 p.m. on Weber St. E near Madison Ave.

A pickup truck, driven by a 37-year-old man from Michigan, was travelling south on Weber St. when it struck the pedestrian.

The 56-year-old man was brought to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Weber St. E was closed between Madison Ave. and Cedar St. for several hours due to the investigation. It has since reopened.
