Regional police arrest suspect hours after Hespeler break-in

A suspect is facing charges after regional police made an arrest on the same day as a commercial break-in.

They said it happened Saturday afternoon, around Queen Street West and Shepherd Avenue in the Hespeler area of Cambridge.

Police got the call soon after 7 p.m. that evening about what happened.

Someone allegedly smashed a rear glass door and stole cash and property.

Police found and arrested a 29-year-old Cambridge man around 9:30 p.m., that night.

He’s been charged with break and enter – commit indictable offence; and possession of stolen goods under $5,000.
