Pedestrian taken to hospital after crash in Waterloo

An 82-year-old woman from Waterloo was taken to hospital on Thursday morning after a crash.

Waterloo Regional Police responded to a crash between a car and a pedestrian on King Street South at Willis Way around 9:30 a.m.

The 82-year-old pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 23-year-old man from Waterloo was driving the car at the time of the crash and was charged with careless driving.

Police are asking that anyone with information or video footage of the collision contact them at 519-570-9777, ext. 8856.
