GRT looking for artists to design this year’s Pride bus wrap

There’s an open call for artists to create this year’s design for a bus wrap to celebrate Pride in Waterloo Region.

Grand River Transit (GRT) is looking for a talented artist, graphic designer, or illustrator to design an original full-colour digital image to mark Pride Month this June.

The winning piece would be applied on a GRT bus as well as posters, interior bus cards, decals, and a window mural in Kitchener.

There’s a few requirements, like the design has to incorporate the theme ‘Let’s Pride Together’.

Anyone applying also needs to be at least 18, live in Waterloo Region, and have a connection to the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

If that sounds like you, you can learn more about the opportunity by clicking here.

The deadline to apply is Mar. 17 and the selected artist will be paid $3,000.

GRT launched its inaugural Pride bus wrap in 2022.
