‘Good boy!’: Milo the police dog tracks down suspect after break-in

Waterloo Regional Police are saying “good boy!” to Milo the police dog after he helped track down a suspect following a break-in this week.

Police were called about a break-and-enter in progress at a school in the Rolling Hills Drive area of Waterloo around 3:25 a.m. on Feb. 28.

When officers with the Neighbourhood Patrol and Canine Team responded to the scene, Milo got right to work.

The police dog was able to quickly locate a male suspect inside the school, who was arrested.

A 17-year-old from Waterloo has been charged.

Milo joined the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Canine Unit in the summer.
