Armed robbery in Waterloo sees suspect pull trigger, no one hurt

Police continue to investigate an armed robbery in Waterloo that saw a single gunshot fired off but no one was hurt.

The robbery happened around 12 a.m. on Feb. 22 in the Albert Street and Hickory Street area of Waterloo.

A victim was walking alone when they were allegedly approached by a stranger who had a gun.

The male suspect stole the victim’s personal property and ran away. While he was fleeing, the male pulled the trigger on the firearm.

According to police, there were no injuries reported.

The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect is described as being around 30-years-old, 5’9”, and was wearing a construction hoodie and dark clothing.
