GRT seeking feedback on experience from riders

Grand River Transit (GRT) is looking for your feedback.

GRT has released their annual Customer Satisfaction Survey to use the responses for making improvements to the 2025-2030 GRT business plan.

One rider, Arvin, told CityNews 570 he plans to take the survey to share his thoughts on GRT’s timing.

“I think that GRT, alot of times, the timings are not consistent,” he said. “They are often delayed. Sometimes they’re early, which is worse than being delayed, arguably.”

Meanwhile Hemang Kumar said he is satisfied with GRT’s service, but still wants to provide feedback to help make the experience better for himself and others.

“95 per cent of the time, they are on time. All the drivers are good, they’re kind, they say ‘good morning’, they ask about your day as well,” said Hemang Kumar. “One thing I don’t like is sometimes there will be less frequency.”

Hemang Kumar explained that he is often returning home from college past 10 p.m. and he has to wait over 30 minutes in the cold for a bus.

Crowding on the buses has also been a popular complaint since GRT reached record-high ridership.

Both Arvin and Hemang Kumar told CityNews 570 that they have experienced busy rides on transit. That was also Michelle’s main grievance.

“I mostly take the [Route] 29 bus and it’s good, but sometimes it’s very busy, which also makes me wait longer.”

If you’d like to participate, you have until March 1 for a chance to win prizes like a $100 GRT gift card.
