Man with knife arrested, woman with noxious spray runs off in Kitchener assault

Waterloo Regional Police arrested one suspect, but a second was already gone, when officers responded to an alleged attack in Kitchener.

It happened around 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday, around King and Ottawa Streets.

Police said a man and a woman attacked a 22-year old from Kitchener outside a residence.

They reported that the male suspect had a knife, and the woman sprayed the victim with a noxious substance.

The victim did not suffer any injuries.

A 27-year old man from Waterloo was arrested and charged with assault a weapon, uttering death threats, breaching probation, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The woman was already gone by the time officers arrived.

Police are still seeking to get a warrant for her arrest, and have not released her name or description at this time.
