A woman who allegedly stole a pick-up truck from Waterloo found out the hard way: if you’re going to steal a truck, gas it up first.
One week ago the OPP got a call from homeowners on Newry Road, in Huron East.
They came home the night of January 31 and found a woman with a pick-up truck on their property.
Police said the woman asked them if she could charge her phone, and if she have some gas.
The homeowners called police, who said the pick-up had been reported stolen from Waterloo.
The 43-year old woman from Paris was arrested and charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000; Fail to Comply with Probation; and Trespassing at Night.
The OPP confirm to CityNews 570 she is known to the authorities from previous incidents.
