A flood warning was lifted on Monday for the Grand River watershed.

The Grand River Conservation Authority had issued a flood warning for Ayr and New Hamburg on the weekend due to a spell of warmer conditions.

The weather resulted in melting snow and ice, leading to increased river flows.

The Township of North Dumfries announced just after 9 a.m. on Saturday that Tannery Street in downtown Ayr was closed due to the flooding.
