ION service fully resumes after brief disruption

There was a brief ION service disruption late Wednesday afternoon due to a crash.

Grand River Transit announced just after 5 p.m. that ION trains were not running between the Willis Way/Waterloo Public Square and Kitchener Market stations following a collision.

That disruption ended just before 6 p.m. and ION service returned to its regular schedule.

Police confirmed there was a collision in Waterloo on Albert Street, but further details on the crash were not immediately available.
