Kitchener man charged after hit and run crash

Waterloo Regional Police have made an arrest in connection with a hit and run crash, involving a pedestrian, that happened in November.

On Nov. 3, a woman was reportedly hit by an SUV in Kitchener near the Tim Hortons at Highland Road West and Lawrence Avenue.

The driver sped off while the 25-year-old who was hit was sent to an out of region hospital with serious injuries.

On Thursday, police arrested and charged a 60-year-old man from Kitchener with numerous offences, including dangerous operation causing bodily harm.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 15, 2023
