GRT names Ryder the bunny as official mascot

Grand River Transit has chosen ‘some-bunny’ special to be its new mascot.

Last February, a Grand River Transit (GRT) driver noticed a stuffed animal was left at a bus stop on a snowy day.

The driver picked up the toy and despite multiple appeals from the transit agency to track down the owner, the bunny was never claimed.

GRT named the rabbit ‘Ryder’ and now, he’s going to be their new spokesperson.

In a video posted to social media on Wednesday, GRT explained that Ryder also recently got a makeover.

Ryder has reached his final form and ’emerged’ as his human-sized version.

He’ll now be spending his time being an adventurer and spreading the joy of transit.
