Police investigating shooting in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police are on scene in Kitchener after reports of gunshots early Saturday morning.

Police told CityNews 570 multiple shots were fired into a crowd in the area of Kinzie Avenue and Weber Street East around 2:25 a.m.

A 24-year-old woman was taken to an out-of-region hospital with a non-life-threatening gun shot injury.

Police have provided a photo of a person believed to be involved in the incident.

A large police presence was in the area of Kinzie and Weber on Saturday as the investigation continued, and police’s remotely piloted vehicle (RPV) was flying in the area to assist.
