Power restored to Erb Street West area of Waterloo

Enova Power Corp. is reporting that power has been restored in Waterloo after a vehicle incident on Thursday.

The outage was first reported at 10:14 a.m. in the area of Fischer-Hallman Road and Erb Street West.

Originally, over 3000 customers were without power.

Waterloo Regional Police are reporting that wires in the area were struck by a piece of equipment.

A boom that was being used by a cement truck driver hit live power lines while being operated by a remote.

Power was restored just after 6 p.m.
