GoFundMe set up to contribute to reward for missing kitten

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

Despite an arrest earlier this week in relation to a stolen kitten in Waterloo at the Pet Valu at Weber Street and Northfield Drive on Nov. 24, there is yet to be any sign of Crosby.

Jan Schneider is the founder and CEO of Pet Patrol and claims that Crosby the kitten could have been sold or be hidden somewhere.

A GoFundMe has been set up now to help contribute to the reward for Crosby if he is returned safe to Pet Valu or Pet Patrol with a goal of $1000.

“The public has been enormously supportive of this and I am just overwhelmed with all of the media coverage. This is how we are going to get this kitty back and it’s also to make people aware that animal theft is not the way to go,” stated Schneider.

Anyone with information on Crosby’s whereabouts is asked to call Waterloo Regional Police at 519-570-9777 or e-mail pet patrol at askus@petpatrol.ca.
