Man taken to hospital with serious injuries following collision in Woolwich

A 60-year-old man was taken to hospital by helicopter on Thursday after a crash in Woolwich Township.

The collision happened around 4:10 p.m. on Arthur Street North at Cedar Springs Road.

Waterloo Regional Police reported that a delivery van did not stop at a stop sign on Cedar Springs Road and hit a pickup truck that was travelling on Arthur Street.

Both vehicles were forced off the road and sustained significant damage.

The 60-year-old man who was driving the pickup truck sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries.

Arthur Street was closed for around five hours on Thursday as police investigated.
