Rangers pull off comeback for seventh straight win

The Kitchener Rangers scored five unanswered goals in the 3rd period to beat the Windsor Spitfires 6-3 on Saturday night.

Windsor took a 3-1 lead in the 3rd when Liam Greentree scored just 28 seconds into the period.

However, less than two minutes after that, Matthew Sop scored to make it a one-goal game. Twenty seconds later, Sop found the back of the net to tie the game.

Carson Rekhopf then scored his first of two goals on the night to put the Rangers in front.

Sop added an empty netter for the hat trick.

The Blueshirts have now won seven straight games. They have pulled five points ahead of both the London Knights and the Soo Greyhounds for first in the OHL.

The Rangers host the Erie Otters on Tuesday.
