No ‘Enchanted Forest’ event in Kitchener this year

It’s not exactly a happy ending for fans of a fairytale experience in Kitchener.
The City of Kitchener has confirmed the popular Enchanted Forest event won’t be happening this year.
The one kilometre walk was first introduced in 2021 during the pandemic and saw magical light displays set-up along a trail through Breithaupt Park.
There was so much interest when it was first announced, that the city had to extend it and add more time slots.
Both years, it completely sold out.
In a statement to CityNews Kitchener, a Kitchener spokesperson explained that Enchanted Forest was only ever planned as a temporary alternative to large in-person events, when COVID-19 restrictions were in place.
